I listen to a lot of classical music  and hit the problem that often the volume would be very low and could not be turned up high enough.

Now I finally found a workaround:

settings->system settings->factory reset

Then select english -> rest of the world.

This way you do not get the ‘europe’ volume limiting.  You can turn up the volume very high now.

Beware that you do not turn it up to high!!! as you can go realy loud now. But for those classic parts that are very quiet, it is very very nice to still be able to listen to it in the train.
