Changing versioning scheme
I am going to change, gmpc will be the first, the versioning scheme I am using.
New scheme will be: YY.MM. So If I would release gmpc today, it would be 11.04.
Why this change? well 2 reasons mostly, the current scheme (0.20 for gmpc that is 7 years old) is not very good. Version number does not give a propper indication of maturity. People often complained that it should be atleast version 1.0.
This new versioning scheme remove this ‘higher version is better’ crap. It also gives an instant notion about how old your installed version is.
So expect to see gmpc 11.06 in 2 months!!!
