Odd pricing

I managed to break my watch 1 month ago when falling down with my bike riding on a completely iced up road. The glass actually broke on the inside. It is a (simple) pulsar watch I like a lot.

Today I got it back with a new glass, waterproofed and all. They charged me € 25 for this. (it was send to pulsar and back again, the form I had to fill in was in German.)  Now the odd part is, last time the battery was empty, and I wanted it replaced (and water proofed) this would cost me 10 euro for the battery and +- 20 euro for the water proofing (I finally just let the local shop replace the battery).  How the hell is something simple as replacing the battery more expansive then replacing the glass (that is some sort of hardened mineral crystal thingy).
