    Hi Qball,

I’m looking for a way to control GMPC with a remote control. I know it has lirc-support but I can’t get it to work. Do you hav some info on that?

    Thanx in advance.

I did not write the lirc plugin. so no idea.

you can use gmpc-remote to send gmpc signals.. that should work with lirc.

Should be possible, but I cannot say when. As I have very little time to work on gmpc and atm no Windows machine.

Hi Qball. I finally found a way to contact you! I just wanted to say thank you for writing GMPC. I have recently finished setting up MPD on an old ‘slug’ (Linksys NSLU2) connected to my hifi via a USB sound card. Finally my gigabytes of music are free to play in their full glory though the speakers in my living room! I use GMPC on my Ubuntu laptop to select songs at my whim. Thanks for your contribution to the open source community and for single handedly writing such a superb piece of software. – Barry, Ipswich, UK

GMPC must be one of my favourite applications ever. I use it even more than my browser!
I couldn’t live without GMPC and MPD. Thank you so much for your hard work.

GMPC with the Album View plugin is awesome! Thank you for your great work.

I know that I can use F1-4 to switch between different views. Is there a shortcut to switch to the Album View?
