Need clarification

This happened on IRC today:

06:38:00              –> | benhem (~BenHem@benhem.xen.prgmr.com) has joined #gmpc
06:38:50           benhem | ahoy … apt-get / aptitude is warning me more strongly than usual about installing gmpc
06:39:09           benhem | I went ahead with it but thought devs should know
06:39:14           benhem | cheers

I have no idea what he is talking about.  Can anybody clarify this?

    Hm using Ubuntu 10.10 and I cant see what he means. Maybe he should apt-get update?
