GPS

I am looking for a good GPS to use for riding a bike.

I used a bluetooth gps mouse and my mobile before. But the mobile screen is not very good to read, and not easy to attach on the steering wheel (not to talk about how rubbish the internal gps of my N78 is).

I came across this one “Garmin eTrex Venture HC” and wondered if it is a good choice (€ 144,–).

Any suggestions?

Maybe you are interested in Magellan’s Triton or the old eXplorist series.

I’ve been using the eTrex Legend HCx for a while now and found it very handy for biking. The ability to add maps from OpenStreetMap (rather than buying them from Garmin) is certainly a plus. I would recommend any of the newer eTrex models.

That is the one I choose in the end. I could get it fairly cheap and it works good. Esp. the battery life was a selling point. (compared to a few others)
