This is something being bugging me for quiet a while now.
What is the best way to show a large collection of music?
Currently it’s done in several ways:
Using list/treeviews:
1. By filesystem.
2. By artist/album.
3. By (configurable) tag. (f.e. gmpc lets you browser it by genre/artist or year/artist/album)
Graphically
4. Media center style. (example)
5. Cover Flow. (example)
But what is the best, most intuitive way to let users browse there music collection??
I still haven’t figured it out, everyone has it’s advantages, disadvantages.
If anybody has suggestions?
